Attorney Profiles
D. Chad Nuce:
Mr. Nuce obtained his BA in Finance from the University of South Florida’s School of Business. He continued on at USF and obtained his Masters of Business Administration with specialties in Finance, International Finance and International Business. While at USF, Mr. Nuce was the President of the Student Finance Association. After Graduating and working as a financial analyst for a major telecom company, Mr. Nuce moved to Macon, Georgia to attend Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. At Mercer, Mr. Nuce was a member of Mercer’s prestigious Moot Court and competed in Albany, New York. Mr. Nuce was also a “Hugh Lawson Editor” for the Hugh Lawson Moot Court Competition at Mercer and was a member of Mercer’s prestigious Inn of Court program. After obtaining his law degree from Mercer University, Mr. Nuce worked for Richard H. Bishoff, P.C. in Thomaston, Georgia before founding his own law firm, and later co-founding Pasley & Nuce, LLC in 2005.
Mr. Nuce represents clients in many areas of the law, but dedicates a substantial amount of his time to representing injured or killed persons and their families. He has been instrumental in the trial and recovery of several large verdicts and settlements, including a record jury verdict of over $1.7 million in Taylor County Georgia.
Mr. Nuce was designated by peer review as one of Georgia’s “Legal Elite” in 2008 as published in Georgia Trend Magazine. In 2005, Mr. Nuce was designated in Atlanta Magazine’s Super Lawyers edition as a “rising Star” in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Practice by peer review. He is a Member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has held offices as President and Treasurer of the Thomaston Bar Association.
Mr. Nuce enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and traveling and is married with two children. He would love to put his experience and dedication to work for you.
Alvah H. Pasley:
Mr. Pasley graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1997. In 2001 Mr. Pasley graduated from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. At the University of Georgia he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Following his graduation from Law School, Mr. Pasley worked at the law firm of Virgil L. Brown and Associates where he focused on criminal defense litigation. After two years at Virgil L. Brown and Associates, Mr. Pasley began the Law Office of Alvah H. Pasley in his hometown of Thomaston. In 2005 Mr. Pasley joined forces with Mr. Nuce to create the law firm of Pasley and Nuce, LLC. Mr. Pasley is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and former president of the Thomaston Bar Association. Mr. Pasley is a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Mr. Pasley lives on his grandfather’s farm in Thomaston with his wife and 3 children where he enjoys hunting and fishing.
